"Unfurl The Brown And White" By: L. G. O'Brien (1925) and C. R. Kean (1924)
Unfurl the Brown and White
Into the breeze;
Snow of the mountain height;
Brown of the trees!
Emblem of loyalty
Manhood and might,
We love thy shining folds
of Brown and White!
Hark! The trumpets are calling,
Drums like thunder resound;
Feet in rhythm are falling--
Armies shaking the ground!
Rise to the march
Fill the sky with a throaty cheer--Rah!
Unfurl the Brown and White
Into the breeze;
Snow of the mountain height;
Brown of the trees!
Emblem of loyalty
Manhood and might,
We love thy shining folds
of Brown and White!
Into the breeze;
Snow of the mountain height;
Brown of the trees!
Emblem of loyalty
Manhood and might,
We love thy shining folds
of Brown and White!
Hark! The trumpets are calling,
Drums like thunder resound;
Feet in rhythm are falling--
Armies shaking the ground!
Rise to the march
Fill the sky with a throaty cheer--Rah!
Unfurl the Brown and White
Into the breeze;
Snow of the mountain height;
Brown of the trees!
Emblem of loyalty
Manhood and might,
We love thy shining folds
of Brown and White!
"St. Bonaventure Alma Mater" By: H. A. Mooney, 1909 (Sung to "Oh Tannenbaum")
With myrtle wreath we'll deck thy brow,
Bonas, old St. Bonas. The verdant leaves our love avow, Bonas, old St. Bonas. Thy name was ever fair and bright, We'll keep it thus with memory's light, And laud thy glorious brown and white, Bonas, old St. Bonas. Our hearts shall ever be thy shrine, Bonas, old St. Bonas. Around thy name shall honor twine Bonas, old St. Bonas. E'er hallowed shall thy memory grow, Through years have fled and years shall flow, Within our souls thy love shall glow, Bonas, old St. Bonas. |
100th Anniversary St. Bonaventure "45" Record
Thanks again go to Hobin Studios, Baldwinsville, NY. for remastering the entire album with lossless quality. Luckily the condition of the 45 was very good and the encoding and cleaning of the digital audio went very well. The audio quality is amazing, and it is free to download as well!
Two never before released tracks are now available as well. The Blessing of St. Francis is performed by the 1958 Christ The King Seminary Choir, and Father Thomas Plassman Speaks to Alumni, delivers a message that brings you right back to campus. |
